Many years ago when I did my secondary school, I hardly can remember a teacher brought a tech tool to class as didactic material.The reason being that we were not yet submerged by technology as is the case nowadays.
Because of the prevalence of technology in everyday life, students have shifted to a more digitally visual learning style.They are best comfortable when they see what is being taught,and participate more with the help of interesting prompts coming from tech tools.This view point seems less convincing isn't it?Ok let us give this a try.Teach a lesson with a tech tool visual and another with the textbook/lectures. You will realise that students may not respond well to traditional teaching methods, like lectures or textbook reading simply because they were born in a context different from yours:The digital era.
